Frequently asked questions

What can I download?

Supported media and files made available for download by their source. Some sites, file formats, authentication methods, and protected content are unsupported. Only save content you have permission to keep.

Does it support HLS?

Yes, for supported, unprotected HLS streams. MP4 conversion depends on the stream and its formats; some supported streams may instead remain as offline HLS.

Is YouTube supported?

No. Downloads from YouTube and certain other restricted services are not supported. Drop Browser does not bypass DRM or site protections.

Can I use Premium on both iPhone and iPad?

Premium is checked through your Apple Account. Sign in with the same account and use Restore Purchases in the app if needed. App Store availability and Apple purchase rules apply.

Where are downloaded files stored?

On your device, in Drop Browser’s file library. You can choose to show saved files in the iOS Files app or keep them within the app.

Does Drop Browser upload my files anywhere?

The app does not provide a file upload or cloud sync service. Web pages you choose to visit may handle information under their own policies. See the Privacy Policy.
